Born in Lewes Delaware at Beebe Hospital. Attended schools in the Rehoboth Special School District which eventually consolidated with Lewes and Milton to become the Cape Henlopen School District.
Graduated in 1979, which was the 10th graduating class of Cape Henlopen High School.
Attended Tuskegee Institute (now University); Graduated from Delaware State College.
A career member of the USAF served 1985 – 2015. Enlisted in the USAF in 1985; Commissioned in 1995; Retired as a Personnel Officer in Oct 2015.
Upon retirement, served as a volunteer at the Retiree Activities Office (RAO) from 2016-2020.
Served as a Board member at the Cape Henlopen Senior Center, Rehoboth DE 2022-2023
Serving as a member of the Delaware State University Advisory Council for the Legal Studies Program, effective 2022.
Serving as a member of the Bryan A. Stevenson School of Excellence (BASSE) Advisory Board
A member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and currently serving as the President for the Sussex County Alumnae Chapter
A member of the Sunshine Circle Club, a community-based organization
